Rank Math Content AI credits and price after credits went away on Starter, Creator and Expert
Rank Math Content AI no longer uses credits. Since Rank Math SEO 1.0.269, each plan gets a fixed number of monthly uses per feature: Starter includes 10 Keyword Research runs, 500 AI SEO fixes and 15 long-form articles for EUR 4.99 a month billed yearly. Creator triples the research runs to 30 for EUR 9.99, and Expert gives 100 for EUR 15.99.
We read Rank Math's pricing page and its two Content AI help articles from a United States connection on 27 September 2026. We also sell an on-page SEO tool, so weigh our conclusions with that in mind. Rank Math AI is much cheaper than anything we sell, and for most of what it does we would tell you to keep it.
If you are pricing plans because a post that scores 100/100 still will not rank, the plan tier is probably not the fix. Try the page itself first: it takes about a minute and needs no account.
Rank Math Content AI price by plan
Rank Math sells three AI plans. All three run on unlimited websites with unlimited user seats, and all three are billed once a year. The pricing page shows each at a launch price with a higher renewal price, in euros and before VAT, including to visitors in the US.
- Starter: EUR 4.99 a month, renewing at EUR 6.99 (EUR 83.88 a year). 10 Keyword Research runs, 500 SEO test fixes, 15 long-form articles, 100 uses of most writing tools, 50 alt texts, and AI Visibility for 1 brand.
- Creator: EUR 9.99 a month, renewing at EUR 11.99 (EUR 143.88 a year). 30 research runs, 1,000 fixes, 60 long-form articles, 500 uses of most writing tools, 100 alt texts, and 10 brands in AI Visibility.
- Expert: EUR 15.99 a month, renewing at EUR 18.99 (EUR 227.88 a year). 100 research runs, 500 alt texts, 1,000 link suggestions, and unlimited use of the other writing tools under a fair-use policy. AI Visibility covers 50 brands.
Free Rank Math users get one to five uses of most features, which is enough to try each tool and not enough to run a site on. Each paid AI plan includes a 15-day trial of Rank Math PRO, and there is a 30-day money-back guarantee.
What happened to Rank Math Content AI credits
Most reviews that rank for this question still describe the old system: 750 free credits a month, a Starter plan with 5,000 credits, research that costs 500 credits a run. Some quote a "$2.99 plan with 7,500 credits" or credit packs at $3.99, $7.99 and $12.99. Rank Math's help article titled "Content AI Migration: Credits to Feature-Based Monthly Limits" says that model is gone from Rank Math SEO 1.0.269 and PRO 3.0.112 onward.
Under credits, every tool drew from one balance. Most writing tools cost about one credit per word generated, and some had fixed prices. The problem Rank Math itself names is that one heavy task could drain everything: ten research runs used up a whole Starter month. The new model gives each tool its own allowance. Here is how the common tasks translate for Starter.
| Task | Old Starter (5,000 credits) | Starter now |
|---|---|---|
| Content AI research | 500 credits a run, so 10 runs used a whole Starter month | 10 Keyword Research runs a month, separate from everything else |
| Long-form article | About 1 credit per word, so a 1,500 word draft cost roughly 1,500 credits | 15 one-click long-form articles a month |
| Internal link suggestion | 100 credits each | 100 Link Suggestions and 50 Link Opportunities |
| Image alt text | 50 credits each | 50 alt texts a month |
| SEO title and meta | Charged per word generated | 100 SEO Meta AI uses a month |
| Fix an SEO test with AI | Charged per word generated | 500 fixes a month |
For almost everyone this is a better deal. The exception is someone who used Starter only for research: ten runs under credits, ten runs now. Everyone else gets the research plus a separate allowance for drafts, meta, links and alt text that used to compete for the same 5,000 credits.
What the plans do not include
Three limits matter more than the numbers in the table. First, there are no monthly plans; Rank Math says so directly, and you pay for a year up front. Second, unused uses expire at the monthly reset and do not roll over. Third, there is no top-up. When a feature runs out mid-month, the help center gives you two options: wait for the reset or upgrade the plan.
For agencies, Rank Math Business and Agency plugin licenses can split AI usage between client sites by percentage from the Rank Math account, so one busy client does not eat everyone's allowance. The split is of the same plan total, though, so it rations the pool rather than enlarging it.
Which Rank Math Content AI plan to buy
Pick the plan by the one limit you will hit first, which for most sites is Keyword Research runs. The table assumes one research run per new post.
| Workload | Plan | Price a month, yearly | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| One blog, 4 to 8 posts a month | Starter | EUR 4.99, renews at EUR 6.99 | 10 research runs and 15 long-form drafts cover it with room to spare |
| One site, a post most weekdays | Creator | EUR 9.99, renews at EUR 11.99 | 20 or more posts a month outgrows 10 research runs by the second week |
| Agency, 5 to 15 client sites | Creator or Expert | EUR 9.99 to 15.99 | 30 research runs split across clients is 2 to 6 per site; Expert gives 100 |
| Store with a large catalog | Expert | EUR 15.99, renews at EUR 18.99 | Product description and meta tools are unlimited only on Expert |
| Brand monitoring is the goal | Creator | EUR 9.99, renews at EUR 11.99 | Tracks 10 brands in AI Visibility against 1 on Starter |
WooCommerce stores are the case where the plan choice is easiest to get wrong. The Product Description tool is capped at 100 uses on Starter and 500 on Creator, so a catalog of a few thousand products belongs on Expert. The product page copy is also only half of what a store writes: the ad for the same product is a separate job, and a UGC ad generator that works from the product URL covers that side without touching the plugin. For the store pages themselves, our WooCommerce SEO page covers what to check on category and product templates.
When the plan limit is not the problem
A lot of people who end up on Rank Math's pricing page are there for a different reason. The post scores 100/100, Fix with AI has nothing left to fix, and the page still sits on page two or three. Upgrading to Creator or Expert will not change that, because every plan grades the page against the same checklist: keyword in the title, URL and opening, enough words, links and images. A page can pass all of it and still answer a different question than the searcher asked.
That is the gap our tool fills. SEOMake reads a live URL against the query it should rank for, lists what is missing with the evidence, and writes the corrected title, meta description, heading outline and opening paragraph, with a 400 to 700 word draft on paid plans. It is not a WordPress plugin and does not replace Rank Math's schema, sitemap, alt text or internal links. Page audits are unlimited on every plan: Starter is $49 a month, Growth $149, Agency $499. That is far more than Rank Math AI costs, so use it for the pages that matter. We compare it with Rank Math AI, Yoast SEO AI+, Surfer and Frase on our Rank Math Content AI alternative page, and if Frase is also on your list, our Frase pricing breakdown prices it per seat and per site.
Rank Math Content AI pricing questions buyers ask
How many credits does Rank Math Content AI give?
None any more. Rank Math replaced credits with monthly uses per feature from Rank Math SEO 1.0.269. Before the change, Starter had 5,000 credits a month, Creator 12,000, Expert 30,000 and free users 750. Now Starter gets, for example, 10 Keyword Research runs, 500 SEO test fixes and 15 long-form articles each month.
How much is Rank Math Content AI?
Starter is EUR 4.99 a month, Creator EUR 9.99 and Expert EUR 15.99, billed yearly and before VAT, as shown on rankmath.com/ai/pricing on 27 September 2026. Those are launch prices that renew at EUR 6.99, EUR 11.99 and EUR 18.99. Rank Math shows euros to US visitors too.
Can I buy more Rank Math Content AI credits?
Not in the old sense. Rank Math's help center says that when you use up a feature's monthly allowance, you can wait for it to reset or upgrade to a higher plan. It lists no top-up for a single feature, and unused uses do not carry over to the next month.
Is there a monthly plan for Rank Math Content AI?
No. Rank Math says the AI plans are sold only on yearly billing and it does not offer monthly plans. The uses are handed out monthly, but you pay for twelve months up front. There is a 30-day money-back guarantee on the purchase.
Do I need Rank Math PRO for Content AI?
No. Free Rank Math users get one to five uses of most Content AI features, and the AI plans are sold separately from the plugin license. Each AI plan includes a 15-day trial of Rank Math PRO. PRO, Business and Agency plugin buyers get a 15-day AI trial matched to their tier.
Which Rank Math Content AI plan is best?
Creator suits most active sites. Starter's 10 Keyword Research runs a month is the limit people hit first, and Creator triples it to 30 for about EUR 5 more a month. Expert is for agencies and large stores that need 100 research runs and unlimited writing tools.
Rank Math AI prices and plan limits were read from rankmath.com/ai/pricing, rankmath.com/kb/content-ai-credits-migration and rankmath.com/kb/content-ai-plans-and-features on 27 September 2026, requested from a United States connection.
