Rank Math is the cheaper plugin at every site count once you look at a full year. Squirrly SEO PRO is $239.88 a year for five to seven sites; Rank Math PRO is 107.88 a year for unlimited sites you own. For client work the gap widens: Rank Math Business covers 100 client sites for 335.88, Squirrly's 10-site agency plan is $1,886.40. Squirrly's real advantage is monthly billing with no renewal increase.

We read both checkouts from US servers on 1 and 2 October 2026. The comparisons ranking for this query are mostly directory pages and affiliate posts, and the ones that print prices quote Squirrly PRO at $9.99 and Rank Math PRO at $6.99 a month. How Squirrly SEO and Rank Math bill

The two plugins sell different units, and the unit is what decides the answer.

Squirrly's unit is the website slot. PRO has five on monthly billing and seven if you pay for the year, which costs exactly twelve months of $19.99, so the yearly plan buys two extra slots rather than a discount. The pricing page draws no line between your own sites and client sites. Need more slots and you either stack a second subscription on the same account, which adds its limits to yours, or move to the Web Dev Kit agency plans.

Rank Math's unit is ownership. PRO has no site cap for properties you own and does not allow client sites at all; Business covers 100 client sites and Agency 500. Every plan is billed once a year, and the first year is discounted. The pricing page stores each figure in dollars and euros with the same numerals and picks the symbol by location, so the Rank Math figures here carry no symbol. There is no row where Squirrly comes out ahead over twelve months. The closest call is a freelancer with around ten clients who stacks two yearly PRO plans, and even there Rank Math Business is about $144 a year less. Past 30 client sites the difference is larger than the price of either product.

When the cheaper plan is not the cheaper choice

The table compares a year. Two situations change that.

The first is a short project. If you need a plugin for a site migration, a relaunch or a one-off cleanup, a single month of Squirrly PRO is $19.99 and you can stop. Rank Math asks for 95.88 up front, with a 30-day money-back guarantee as the only exit. For one or two months of work, Squirrly costs less.

The second is rank checking. On PRO, Squirrly reads positions from Search Console, which reports averages and only for queries you already appear for. Exact on-demand checks start on Squirrly Business, $71.99 a month with 3,000 checks. Rank Math PRO includes a 500-keyword tracker. If position tracking for prospects or new keywords is the reason you are buying, Rank Math is the cheaper route by a wide margin, and a dedicated rank tracker may beat both.

Freelancers who report rankings to clients should also think about where the report lives once the plugin changes. Squirrly's agency plans put per-client data in its cloud app; Rank Math sends email reports from Business up. If clients expect one monthly view of rankings, ad spend and sales, it is usually simpler to pull every channel into one marketing dashboard and let the plugin do plugin work.

When Squirrly SEO is the better buy

Pick Squirrly if the person running the site is not an SEO specialist and wants to be told what to do. When Rank Math is the better buy

Pick Rank Math if you run several of your own sites, need rank tracking without paying for Business-level credits, or install SEO plugins for clients and want one license for up to 100 of them. What neither plugin writes for you

Squirrly says a Focus Page needs a stronger title and more depth on the topic. Rank Math says the focus keyword is missing from the first paragraph. Both then leave the writing to you, and both judge the page against rules or a keyword you typed in, not against the pages that currently outrank it.
