AIOSEO vs Yoast pricing for agencies and multi-site owners, the renewal bill at 1, 5, 10 and 25 sites

AIOSEO is cheaper than Yoast at every site count once both renew. One site costs $99 a year on AIOSEO Basic against $118.80 on Yoast SEO Premium; ten sites cost $399 on AIOSEO Pro against $1,188 on ten Yoast subscriptions. The catch on the AIOSEO side is that its card prices are first-year only and double at renewal, and that its tiers jump at 4 and 11 sites.

We read both pricing pages from a United States connection, AIOSEO on 29 September 2026 and Yoast the day before. We sell an on-page SEO tool, not a WordPress plugin, so we have no stake in which of the two you pick. Most comparisons on page one still quote the Yoast prices that were retired in July 2025, which is why the numbers below may not match what you have read elsewhere.

If you are here because client pages pass every plugin check and still sit on page two, neither plugin will change that at renewal. Check one of those pages against its query first; it takes about a minute and needs no account.

How AIOSEO and Yoast charge, in two sentences

Yoast sells one subscription per site or domain: $118.80 a year for Premium, $178.80 for WooCommerce SEO and $358.80 for AI+, all ex VAT, and the price you see is the price you renew at. AIOSEO sells bundles of sites, 1 on Basic, 3 on Plus, 10 on Pro and 100 on Elite, at $49.50 to $299.50 for the first year and $99 to $599 after that.

That difference in model is the whole story for an agency. Per-site pricing grows in a straight line with your client list. Bundle pricing grows in steps, and between the steps each extra site is free. The full tier-by-tier breakdown, with the AI Credits and features on each plan, is on our AIOSEO pricing page, and the Yoast ladder is on our Yoast SEO Premium price page.

AIOSEO vs Yoast pricing at 1, 3, 4, 5, 10 and 25 sites

Every figure below is the list price. Yearly columns use the renewal price, since that is what you pay from year two on. The three-year columns use AIOSEO's discounted first year plus two full-price renewals, and Yoast's single price three times.

Yearly renewal and three-year cost of AIOSEO compared with Yoast SEO Premium at 1, 3, 4, 5, 10 and 25 sites
Sites AIOSEO a year Yoast Premium a year AIOSEO, 3 years Yoast, 3 years
1 site $99 (Basic) $118.80 $247.50 $356.40
3 sites $199 (Plus) $356.40 $497.50 $1,069.20
4 sites $399 (Pro) $475.20 $997.50 $1,425.60
5 sites $399 (Pro) $594.00 $997.50 $1,782.00
10 sites $399 (Pro) $1,188.00 $997.50 $3,564.00
25 sites $599 (Elite) $2,970.00 $1,497.50 $8,910.00

At one site the two are close, $19.80 a year apart at renewal. By five sites AIOSEO is $195 a year cheaper, by ten it is $789 cheaper, and at 25 client sites the three-year gap is more than $7,400. If your clients run WooCommerce and you would put them on Yoast WooCommerce SEO, the per-site figure is $178.80 instead of $118.80, and ten stores cost $1,788 a year on Yoast against the same $399 on AIOSEO Pro.

The fourth-site and eleventh-site jumps

Bundle pricing has one trap, and it shows up in the table. Plus covers three sites. The fourth site forces Pro, and the renewal doubles from $199 to $399 overnight. At exactly four sites, AIOSEO still beats Yoast ($399 against $475.20), but by much less than at three or five.

The same thing happens at eleven sites, where Pro runs out and Elite starts at $599. If you are sitting at three or ten sites and about to sign one more client, price that client with the step included. One way agencies handle it is to pass plugin licenses through to the client at cost, and if you do, automated invoice reminders save a lot of chasing when forty small renewals land in the same month.

Where Yoast is worth the extra money

Cheaper is not the same as better, and there are real reasons agencies stay on Yoast.

First, predictability. Yoast renews at the price on the page. AIOSEO's first-year discount is large and its renewal is double, which makes the second-year invoice the one clients complain about.

Second, what is included on the single tier. Yoast Premium bundles the Local, Video and News SEO plugins, AI titles and meta descriptions with no credits to count, a redirect manager and internal linking suggestions. On AIOSEO, Local SEO starts on Plus and the Internal Link Assistant on Pro, so a one-site local business pays $199 a year on AIOSEO to match what $118.80 buys on Yoast.

Third, store depth. Yoast WooCommerce SEO adds GTIN, ISBN and SKU checks and product sitemaps that skip variations. AIOSEO includes WooCommerce SEO from Basic, but a large catalog may still want Yoast's store layer.

And fourth, the bulk discount. Yoast says bulk purchases qualify for a discount it does not publish. For ten or more sites, ask for a quote before you migrate; the gap in the table is the list-price gap, and the real one may be smaller.

Where AIOSEO clearly wins

For an agency with more than three WordPress clients, AIOSEO's bundles are the cheaper path at list price, and Elite adds things Yoast does not sell at all: client management, multisite network tools, and Search Statistics with keyword rank tracking inside WordPress. At 25 sites, Elite works out to about $24 a site a year. There is no Yoast plan that gets close to that per site without a negotiated discount.

Switching is also less painful than it used to be. AIOSEO imports Yoast titles, meta descriptions and focus keyphrases, and Yoast can import from AIOSEO in the other direction. Run the import on staging and spot-check your highest-traffic pages before you flip production.

What neither plugin does for a client site

Both plugins grade a page against their own checklist: keyword in the title, meta length, readability, schema. A client page can pass every check in either one and still rank on page two, because the checklist does not look at the ten pages ranking above it. That is the conversation that loses clients, and no plugin tier solves it.

SEOMake does that one job. Paste a URL and the keyword it should rank for, and it scores the page against the query, lists every issue with the evidence it found, and writes the corrected title, meta description, heading outline and opening paragraph, with a 400 to 700 word draft on paid plans. There is no per-site license and page audits are unlimited, so the Agency plan at $499 a month covers every client. If you are building the rest of your stack, our SEO software for agencies comparison prices the wider set of tools, and store-heavy agencies should look at our WooCommerce SEO page. For Yoast's newest tier, our Yoast SEO AI+ review splits what the $358.80 buys.

AIOSEO vs Yoast pricing questions buyers ask

Is AIOSEO cheaper than Yoast?

Yes at every site count, and by more as you add sites. One site renews at $99 on AIOSEO Basic against $118.80 for Yoast SEO Premium. Ten sites renew at $399 on AIOSEO Pro against $1,188 for ten Yoast Premium subscriptions at list price, as read from both vendors in September 2026.

Why does Yoast cost more for multiple sites?

Yoast sells one subscription per site or domain, so the bill is the list price times your site count. AIOSEO sells bundles of 1, 3, 10 and 100 sites. Yoast says bulk purchases qualify for a discount but does not publish it, so the gap can shrink if you ask for a quote.

Does AIOSEO go up in price after the first year?

Yes. AIOSEO's plan cards show introductory prices, and the footnote says all renewals are at full price, which is double: Basic $49.50 to $99, Plus $99.50 to $199, Pro $199.50 to $399 and Elite $299.50 to $599. Yoast lists one price and renews at it.

Can I switch from Yoast to AIOSEO without losing my SEO settings?

Yes. AIOSEO includes an importer for Yoast SEO data, including titles, meta descriptions and focus keyphrases, and Yoast can import from AIOSEO in the other direction. Run it on a staging copy first and spot-check your top pages, because custom templates and redirects do not always carry over one to one.

Which is better for WooCommerce, AIOSEO or Yoast?

On price, AIOSEO: WooCommerce SEO is included from the $99 Basic plan, while Yoast sells it as a $178.80 plan per store. On depth, Yoast WooCommerce SEO adds GTIN, ISBN and SKU checks and store-specific sitemaps, so a large catalog may still prefer it despite the higher per-store price.

AIOSEO prices were read from aioseo.com/pricing on 29 September 2026 and Yoast prices from yoast.com product pages on 28 September 2026, both from a United States connection. Yoast prices exclude VAT. Vendor prices change without notice, so trust the checkout over this page.
