Yoast sells three WordPress plans. Premium is $118.80 a year and adds the redirect manager, internal linking suggestions, AI titles and meta descriptions, and the Local, Video and News SEO plugins that used to cost $79 each. WooCommerce SEO is $178.80 and adds product schema, store sitemaps and product checks. AI+ is $358.80 and adds AI Brand Insights, a weekly check of what ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity say about one brand.
Two things decide the real bill. Each subscription covers one site, so an agency multiplies every price by its client count. And AI+ is WooCommerce SEO plus monitoring, which means the monitoring costs $180 a year for five questions. None of the three plans looks at the ten pages already ranking for your keyword, which is the job SEOMake does from $49 a month.
What Yoast SEO Premium costs once you count every site you run
Yoast's own FAQ is short on this point: one subscription covers one site or domain, and you choose how many at checkout. You can move a subscription from one site to another in MyYoast, but you cannot share it. So the price that matters is the list price times the number of sites.
For one blog that is $9.90 a month and hardly worth a second thought. For a small agency with ten WordPress clients it is $1,188 a year on Premium, $1,788 if the clients are stores, and $3,588 if every store also wants AI brand monitoring. Yoast says bulk purchases get a discount but does not publish it, so ask for a quote before you renew more than a handful. Yoast SEO for Shopify is priced separately at $19 every 30 days, ex VAT, with a 14-day free trial. It is the only Yoast product with monthly billing. The AI+ refund window is one week, and it closes early if more than one AI analysis has already run.
Yoast SEO AI+ price, and what the Brand Insights part really buys
AI+ costs $358.80 a year. WooCommerce SEO, which AI+ includes in full, costs $178.80. The difference, $180 a year or $15 a month, is what you pay for AI Brand Insights.
For that you set up one brand profile with competitors and write up to five questions, or let Yoast suggest them. Once a week Yoast asks those questions in ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity and reports an AI Visibility Index out of 100, how many of the five questions mentioned you, which domains were cited, your rank against competitors and a sentiment score. Yoast's FAQ is explicit that no extra automatic analyses are available. Five questions across four assistants every week comes to roughly 1,040 answers a year, or about 17 cents per answer.
Brand Insights runs in the browser and does not need WordPress. The WooCommerce half of the bundle does. So AI+ makes most sense for a WooCommerce store that would buy WooCommerce SEO anyway; for anyone else it is $180 of monitoring wrapped in $178.80 of store tools they cannot use.
Yoast SEO AI+ compared with other ways to track AI answers
If brand monitoring is the reason you are looking at AI+, these are the realistic alternatives, each priced from the vendor's own pricing page read from a US connection in September 2026. Prompt counts are not always comparable: Yoast counts questions per brand, the others count tracked prompts per account.

Where Yoast wins: it is the only option here that bundles AI monitoring with a WordPress store plugin, it covers Claude, which several trackers skip, and the weekly report arrives by email with no setup beyond the brand profile. Where it loses: five questions is a small sample, and Rank Math AI Creator covers ten brands for less than Yoast charges for one. Yoast premium price before and after the July 2025 change
Most reviews that still quote Yoast Premium at $99 describe the old lineup. On 1 July 2025 Yoast cut ten WordPress plans to two and moved every existing subscription onto one of them. This is Yoast's own table, yearly and ex VAT.

The people who paid more are the ones who bought a single plugin. A store that only had WooCommerce SEO at $79 now renews at $178.80, more than double, although it now gets Premium and the three add-on plugins with it. Anyone on a bundle or on the all-plugins subscription pays less than before.
Yoast SEO Premium vs free, and which features justify the price
Redirect manager
Creates a 301 when you change a slug or delete a post. On a site that restructures often this is the feature that pays for Premium on its own, because broken URLs quietly lose links and rankings.
Internal linking suggestions
Suggests related posts to link while you write. Useful on sites with hundreds of posts, less so on a twenty-page brochure site where you already know every page.
Local, Video and News SEO
Now included instead of $79 each. Local SEO matters for a business with a street address, News for publishers in Google News, Video for sites that host their own video.
AI titles and meta descriptions
AI Generate offers five titles and meta descriptions at a time, and the free bulk editor gains AI drafts with Premium. There are no credits to buy. The suggestions are written from your page, not from what the ranking pages do.
Multiple focus keyphrases
Free Yoast analyzes one keyphrase per post. Premium checks a post against up to five keyphrases and counts synonyms and word forms, which fits how people actually search one topic in several ways.
What none of it checks
Whether your page answers the query better than the pages above it. Every Yoast light turns green on your page alone. That comparison is the gap SEOMake fills.
What SEOMake adds to a Yoast site, and what it leaves to Yoast
SEOMake is not a WordPress plugin and does not replace Yoast. It does not write schema, generate sitemaps, manage redirects, suggest internal links or monitor AI assistants. Yoast does all of that for $9.90 to $29.90 a month per site, and you should keep it.
What SEOMake does is the check Yoast cannot make from inside your editor. Paste a live URL and the keyword it should rank for. It reads the page's on-page signals, scores it against the query, lists every issue with the evidence it found, and writes the correction: a title under 60 characters that leads with the keyword, a meta description at the length Google shows, a heading outline built around the query, a new opening paragraph and the subtopics the page is missing. Paid plans add a 400 to 700 word draft. You paste it into the Yoast fields and the editor, and the Yoast lights stay green.
Page audits are unlimited on every plan and there is no per-site license. Starter is $49 a month or $490 a year with 20 drafts a month, Growth $149 with 100 drafts, and Agency $499 with 500 drafts. That is more than Yoast Premium for one site, so use it on the pages that earn money. Is Yoast SEO free?
The core Yoast SEO plugin is free on WordPress.org and covers titles, meta descriptions, XML sitemaps, schema, llms.txt, a bulk metadata editor and the readability and SEO analysis for one keyphrase. Premium adds the AI tools, the redirect manager, the internal linking tool, analysis for up to five keyphrases, social previews and the Local, Video and News SEO plugins.
Is Yoast SEO Premium worth it?
For a site that moves or deletes pages often, yes: the redirect manager alone saves broken links and lost traffic, and at $9.90 a month it is one of the cheapest paid SEO tools. It is worth less if your problem is pages that already pass every Yoast check and still sit on page two, because Premium grades against the same checks.

Is Yoast SEO AI+ worth it?
Only if you run a WooCommerce store and want AI brand monitoring in the same invoice. The $180 over WooCommerce SEO buys five questions checked weekly across four assistants for one brand.
