01 / WHAT MOZ COSTS

Moz pricing in 2026: Moz pricing plans for Moz Pro, the Moz API and Moz Local

Moz sells three separately priced products and publishes them on three separate pages, which is why nobody can answer what does Moz cost in one number. Here is every tier of all three, transcribed on 30 August 2026, including the $49 plan Moz does not put on a card.

No account. No card. Real output in about 20 seconds.

02 / The short answer

Moz Pro is $99 to $299 a month, Moz Local is $20 to $40, and the Moz API is $20 to $2,000

Moz publishes three price ladders. Moz Pro is $99 a month for Standard, $179 for Medium and $299 for Large, dropping to an effective $79, $143 and $239 on yearly billing. Moz Local is $20, $30 and $40 a month. The Moz API is sold by row volume, from $20 a month for 3,000 rows to $2,000 a month for 4 million. There is also a $49 a month Moz Pro plan for a single website, which Moz states in a line of text rather than on a plan card.

That $49 plan is the detail worth the whole page. The Moz Pro comparison grid shows three cards, starting at $99, and a buyer who scrolls the cards and picks one will never see the cheaper option. It sits below the grid in a sentence saying the entry-level plan is available for $49 a month and is designed for individuals managing a single website. If you run one site, that is a $600 a year difference that depends entirely on whether you read past the pricing table.

The second thing worth knowing before you pick a tier is that Moz has re-cut its plans around AI search, and the AI features are the ones metered hardest. Standard gives you 2 AI content briefs a month. Medium gives 10. Large gives 50, and Large is the only tier that shows AI Overviews by keyword and a stated count of AI Visibility Dashboards. If you are buying Moz specifically for the 2026 AI visibility work rather than for Domain Authority, the real entry price is $299 a month, not $99.

Every figure on this page read off moz.com/products/pro/pricing, moz.com/products/local/pricing and moz.com/products/api/pricing on 30 August 2026.

03 / Moz Pro pricing

Moz Pro pricing plans, including the tier that is not on the grid

Three of these four are cards on the pricing page. The Starter plan at $49 is not: it appears in prose underneath, and Moz publishes no quota grid for it beyond the statement that it suits one website. Everything else below is Moz's own number, including the exact first-year totals it bills on annual plans.

Plan Monthly Yearly, per month Billed first year Seats Tracked sites
Starter $49 Not published Not published 1 1 site
Standard $99 $79 $950 1 3 campaigns
Medium $179 $143 $1,719 2 10 campaigns
Large $299 $239 $2,868 3 25 campaigns

Moz advertises 20 percent off for annual billing and the published totals back it up exactly, which is rarer than it should be. Standard at $950 against twelve months of $99 saves $238. Medium at $1,719 against $2,148 saves $429. Large at $2,868 against $3,588 saves $720. There is no rounding trick and no fine print reducing the discount.

One phrase in that table does deserve a question at checkout. Moz words the annual figures as billed for your first year. It does not publish what the second year renews at, so if you are budgeting a multi-year line item, ask sales to confirm the renewal rate in writing rather than assuming the introductory total repeats.

04 / What each tier meters

The Moz Pro limits that decide whether a tier is usable

Price is the easy part. These are the metered lines, transcribed from Moz's own plan comparison, and they are what sends people up a tier three weeks after buying. Where Moz shows a feature without a number we say not itemized rather than guessing at one.

Metered line Standard $99 Medium $179 Large $299
Tracked keywords per month 300 1,500 3,000
Pages crawled per month 400,000 2 million 5 million
Pages crawled per week 100,000 500,000 1,250,000
User seats 1 2 3
Tracked sites (campaigns) 3 10 25
Performance Metrics: on-demand URLs 6 20 50
Performance Metrics: tracked URLs 60 200 500
Link Checker queries per day 200 200 500
Tracked AI prompts 50 Higher, not itemized 200
Tracked AI models 2 (GPT, Gemini) 3 (adds Google AI Mode) 3 (adds Google AI Mode)
AI content briefs per month 2 10 50
AI Visibility Dashboards Not itemized Not itemized 4
AI Overviews by keyword No No Yes
Branded reports No Yes Yes
Report templates No No Yes

Two lines in that grid catch people out. The first is tracked keywords per month, which is worded as a monthly allowance rather than a standing list of slots, so 300 on Standard is not the same promise as 300 permanent tracked terms. The second is Link Checker queries per day, which is 200 on both Standard and Medium: paying $80 more a month buys you no additional link lookups at all, only more keywords, crawl and seats.

Branded reports are the other quiet tier gate. Standard cannot produce them, so any agency planning to send client-facing reports is on Medium at minimum regardless of how few keywords it tracks. Report templates go one step further and only appear on Large. If reporting is the reason you are buying, price the tier off the reporting line rather than the keyword line. We walk through that trade in more depth on our Moz alternative comparison.

05 / Moz Local pricing

Moz Local pricing, and the AI features that are add-ons rather than included

Moz Local is a separate subscription from Moz Pro with its own three tiers. It handles listing distribution to 90 or more directories, review monitoring, the local grid and map pack tracking. The published prices are low, and the structure to watch is the add-on column.

Plan Monthly Yearly, per month Billed yearly Annual saving AI add-ons
Lite $20 $16 $199 $41 Listings AI $14 a month
Preferred $30 $24 $299 $61 Listings AI $14, Reviews AI $10 a month
Elite $40 $33 $399 $81 Listings AI included, Reviews AI $10 a month

Lite covers getting listed and watching reviews. Preferred is where responding to reviews, review sentiment analysis, social posting to Google and Facebook, competitor analysis and agency permissions arrive. Elite adds broader social posting, lead capture and custom reporting, and folds the Listings AI add-on into the base price.

The add-ons are where a $30 plan becomes a $54 plan. Listings AI is $14 a month or $119 a year, and Reviews AI is $10 a month or $69 a year. Both are optional on Preferred, so a Preferred subscription with both AI features is $54 a month rather than $30, which is more than Elite at $40 with Listings AI already included. Moz notes the same thing itself: Elite with the yearly Listings AI works out $19 a year cheaper than Preferred plus the same add-on. If you want both AI features, price Elite first.

06 / Moz API pricing

Moz API pricing is sold by rows, and the overage rate is the number that matters

The Moz API is priced on monthly row volume with no seat component, which makes it one of the cheapest ways into Moz link data if all you need is Domain Authority in a dashboard. Every band below carries MCP access marked as beta, which means the data is reachable from an AI agent rather than only from a script.

Band Price per month Rows per month Overage rate
Free $0 50 Not available
Starter (medium) $20 3,000 Not available
Starter (large) $75 15,000 $5 per 1,000 rows
Growth (small) $125 50,000 $25 per 10,000 rows
Growth (medium) $250 120,000 $20 per 10,000 rows
Growth (large) $500 500,000 $10 per 10,000 rows
Advanced $2,000 4 million $5 per 10,000 rows
Enterprise $10,000 and up, by quote Over 4 million Custom

Normalize the overage rates and the ladder makes more sense than the headline prices do. The $75 Starter band charges $5 per 1,000 rows, which is $5,000 per million rows. Growth at $125 charges $25 per 10,000, or $2,500 per million. Growth at $500 charges $10 per 10,000, or $1,000 per million. Advanced charges $5 per 10,000, or $500 per million. Overage gets ten times cheaper between the cheapest paid band and the top one, so if your usage is spiky rather than flat, the tier that looks expensive can be the cheaper bill.

The $20 Starter band has no overage available at all. That is not a pricing detail, it is an availability one: when the 3,000 rows are gone, the calls stop until the month resets. For anything running on a schedule rather than by hand, budget the $75 band as the practical floor. For how this compares against the other vendor that publishes an API rate card, see our Semrush API pricing breakdown.

07 / What you actually pay

What a Moz bill looks like once you buy more than one product

Almost nobody who searches for Moz pricing needs only one of the three. The common shapes work out like this, using Moz's published monthly rates with no discounts applied.

One site, one person

$49

The unlisted Moz Pro Starter plan, if you ask for it. If you take the first card on the grid instead, the same job costs $99 and you pay $600 a year more for tracked sites you do not have.

In-house team with client reports

$179

Moz Pro Medium, because branded reports do not exist on Standard. Two seats, 10 tracked sites and 1,500 keywords a month. On yearly billing this is $143 a month, or $1,719 up front.

Agency with local clients and a dashboard

$294

Moz Pro Medium at $179, Moz Local Elite at $40, and the Moz API Starter large band at $75 to feed Domain Authority into reporting. Add $10 a month for Reviews AI if you want it, since Elite already bundles Listings AI.

Set against the field, Moz sits deliberately below the two research leaders. Semrush publishes $139 to $549 a month and Ahrefs $129 upward, so Moz Pro Standard at $99 is the cheapest way into a full suite with a proprietary authority metric attached. What you give up for that is link index depth, where Semrush and Ahrefs both carry more, and AI visibility features, which Moz gates almost entirely behind the $299 tier. Our side-by-side on that trade is at Moz Pro vs Semrush, and the same comparison against the third option is on our Ahrefs pricing page.

One last line item people forget: MozBar Premium is included with every paid Moz Pro tier rather than sold separately, so the extension is not an extra cost if you already subscribe. If the extension is the only part you want, that is a different question and we answer it on our MozBar alternative page.

08 / Where we fit

We are not a Moz replacement, and the gap is worth naming

Moz Pro is a research suite with an index behind it: Domain Authority, link data, keyword volumes, crawl. We do not have any of that and there is no version of this page where pretending otherwise helps you. If Domain Authority is the number your reporting runs on, you are buying Moz and no amount of comparison changes it.

What we do is the step after the audit. Seomake reads a live page against the keyword it should rank for and writes the corrected title tag, meta description, heading outline, intro and the keyword gaps, as copy you can paste into the CMS. Moz Pro tells you the page scores badly and meters how many AI content briefs you may generate this month, at 2 on Standard. We write the fix and do not meter audits at all.

So the honest pairing for most teams is one research subscription plus something cheap that turns findings into copy. Our ladder is $49, $149 and $499 a month, published in full on our pricing page, and page audits are unlimited on every tier because we do not meter them.

09 / Asked and answered

Moz pricing, question by question

How much does Moz cost?

It depends which of the three products you buy. Moz Pro runs $99, $179 or $299 a month on the published cards, with a $49 single-site entry plan Moz mentions in text but does not put on a card. Moz Local is $20, $30 or $40 a month. The Moz API starts at $20 a month for 3,000 rows and climbs to $2,000 for 4 million.

How much is Moz Pro per month?

Moz Pro Standard is $99 a month, Medium is $179 and Large is $299, read off moz.com on 30 August 2026. Paying yearly drops those to an effective $79, $143 and $239 a month, billed as $950, $1,719 and $2,868 for the first year. Moz also offers a $49 a month entry plan for one website.

What are the Moz pricing plans?

Moz Pro has four: Starter at $49, Standard at $99, Medium at $179 and Large at $299 a month. Moz Local has three: Lite $20, Preferred $30 and Elite $40. The Moz API has four bands, Free, Starter, Growth and Advanced, sold by monthly row volume from 50 rows to 4 million, plus a quoted Enterprise tier.

Is there a cheaper Moz plan than $99?

Yes, and it is easy to miss. Moz sells a $49 a month entry plan for individuals managing a single website. It does not appear as a card in the plan comparison, only in a line of text below the grid, so most buyers arrive believing $99 is the floor. If you run one site, ask for it by name before you check out.

How much does Moz Local cost?

Moz Local is $20 a month for Lite, $30 for Preferred and $40 for Elite on monthly billing. Paying yearly brings those to $16, $24 and $33 a month, billed as $199, $299 and $399. The AI features are add-ons rather than included: Listings AI is $14 a month and Reviews AI is $10 a month.

How much does the Moz API cost?

The Moz API is priced by rows returned per month, not by seats. Free gives 50 rows. Starter is $20 for 3,000 rows or $75 for 15,000. Growth is $125 for 50,000, $250 for 120,000 or $500 for 500,000. Advanced is $2,000 for 4 million rows, and Enterprise starts around $10,000 by quote.

What happens if I go over my Moz API row limit?

On most tiers you pay an overage, and the rate improves sharply as you climb. The $75 Starter band charges $5 per 1,000 rows, which is $5,000 per million. Advanced charges $5 per 10,000 rows, which is $500 per million. The $20 Starter band has no overage available at all, so you simply stop until the month resets.

What is included in Moz Pro Standard?

One user seat, 3 tracked sites, 300 tracked keywords a month and 400,000 pages crawled a month, which Moz also states as 100,000 pages a week. On the AI side you get 50 tracked prompts across GPT and Gemini, weekly prompt tracking frequency, and 2 AI content briefs a month. Branded reports are not included at this tier.

How many keywords can you track on Moz Pro?

Three hundred a month on Standard, 1,500 on Medium and 3,000 on Large. Note the wording: Moz meters tracked keywords per month rather than as a standing list, so the number is a monthly allowance rather than a permanent slot count. For a single site 300 is workable, and for an agency it runs out fast.

Does Moz offer an annual discount?

Yes, and the arithmetic checks out. Moz advertises 20 percent off yearly billing, and the published totals match: $950 against $1,188 saves $238, $1,719 against $2,148 saves $429, and $2,868 against $3,588 saves $720. Moz Local runs the same 20 percent, saving $41, $61 and $81 a year.

Does Moz have a free trial?

Moz shows a free trial path on the Medium tier of Moz Pro, and the Moz API has a permanently free band of 50 rows a month you can use without paying. The trial is a way to see the interface. It is not long enough to see whether the ranking data moves, which is the thing you are actually buying.

Is Moz Pro worth it in 2026?

It is worth it if you want Domain Authority and a stable, familiar interface at a price below Semrush and Ahrefs. It is a harder sell if you need link index depth, where both competitors carry more, or if you need the AI visibility features, which Moz meters tightly and only unlocks properly on the $299 Large tier.
