SEOprofiler alternative: what to use after the shutdown, and what is genuinely better than SEOprofiler

SEOprofiler has been gone since 2022, and the domain now serves a tool directory instead of the software. Most pages that rank for this search are listicles written by people who never used it. This one maps each thing SEOprofiler actually did to a priced replacement, and says plainly which parts we do not cover. While you read, point the audit at a page you need ranking.

What to use instead of SEOprofiler, in one paragraph

SEOprofiler shut down in 2022 and there is no direct one-to-one replacement, because it bundled five jobs that are now sold separately. Semrush at $139 a month is the closest full platform. Ahrefs Lite at $129 covers the backlink half. Moz Pro Standard at $99 is the cheapest platform with a real link index. If what you actually used it for was auditing and rewriting individual pages, that job costs $49 a month and does not need a platform at all.

The mistake worth avoiding is buying a $139 platform to replace a habit that was worth $49. Work out which of the five columns below you touched in the last month, then buy only that.

Is SEOprofiler still available? We checked the domain this morning

It is not, and the reason this question keeps getting asked is that the domain never went dark. On 5 September 2026, seoprofiler.com resolves normally and returns a working page with an HTTP 200 status. What loads is titled "Directory of Search Engine Optimization Tools". There is no login form, no dashboard, no pricing page and no product.

That is why the search results are so unhelpful. A domain that returns a healthy page looks alive to anyone checking casually, so review sites keep listing SEOprofiler as though you could still sign up, and comparison posts keep quoting its old pricing. Reports across the SEO community place the actual shutdown at 26 April 2022. There was no prominent farewell notice, which is why four years later people still arrive at a live domain and cannot tell what happened.

For what it is worth, this is the second time this pattern has been worth writing up. When Searchmetrics was absorbed by Conductor, the same thing happened: paying customers had to make a decision, and the search results filled with corporate announcements that answered none of their questions. Two notes on the numbers. Moz publishes no extra-seat rate at all, so a team price cannot be worked out from its pricing page, and Search Atlas shows annual billing by default at a 20 percent discount, which is why $79 and $99 both appear for the same plan. Where each part of SEOprofiler went

SEOprofiler bundled five distinct jobs. Nothing on the market bundles them at that price any more, so the useful exercise is deciding which ones you genuinely used rather than replacing the bundle out of habit.

Rank tracking

A research platform. This is the one part we do not do at all: Seomake ships no ranking fetcher, and any tool claiming to replace it for $49 is either sampling or guessing.

Backlink monitoring

Ahrefs or Moz. A link index costs millions of dollars a year to crawl and maintain, which is exactly why the cheap tools do not have one.

Website audit

Most tools here, including this one. The difference is what lands at the end: a prioritized list of defects, or the corrected text ready to paste.

Page optimization

This is the half SEOprofiler users miss most and the half every platform still leaves to you. It is what Seomake was built to do.

Client reporting

A dedicated reporting tool. We do not ship white-label PDF export, so if branded client reports were the reason you paid, none of the cheap options close that gap.

What we replace, and the parts we do not pretend to

Being direct about this saves you a trial. Seomake does not track rankings, does not maintain a backlink index and does not crawl an entire site. Three of the five things SEOprofiler did, we do not do. If those were your reasons for subscribing, buy Semrush, Ahrefs or Moz and stop reading here.

What we replace is the fourth column, page optimization, and it is the one every surviving platform still hands back to you as homework. They audit a page and produce a list: title too long, meta description missing, headings out of order, these keywords absent. Then you sit down and write it. Seomake reads the live page and writes the fix instead, the corrected title under 60 characters with the keyword at the front, a meta description at the length Google actually renders, the heading outline and an opening paragraph.

For a lot of former SEOprofiler subscribers that is the honest end of the story. They were paying for a platform and using it to make individual pages rank better, one page at a time. That job did not need the platform. Is there anything better than SEOprofiler?

For every individual job, yes, because the tools that survived kept investing. SEOprofiler stopped receiving updates in 2022, so it has no coverage of AI search results, Core Web Vitals reporting as it stands today, or the current Search Console API. Any maintained platform in the table above is ahead of it on data freshness alone.

Can I still get my SEOprofiler data back?

Realistically, no. The platform has been gone for years and the domain no longer hosts an account system, so historical rankings and reports are not recoverable. Rebuild the baseline in whichever tool you pick rather than trying to migrate anything, and treat the first month of data as your new starting point.

Do I need a full SEO platform to replace it?

Only if you used the ranking and backlink data. A lot of SEOprofiler subscribers were paying platform prices to do one job, which was making individual pages rank better.
